I’m paying for my CDL A out of pocket, and am scheduled to start trucking-school in March of next year. I won’t have an automatic restriction. My plan is to start trucking next year.
My MVR is as follows;
11/2019 – At fault accident
06/20 – Driving wrong way road / highway. (passed double-lines on motorcycle to pass)
I’m at almost three years on these, and have cleaned up my driving. I want to get into tanker/bulk, preferably with a manual truck. If I can’t get into tanker/bulk, I’d atleast like to OTR using a manual truck if possible so I can keep my manual skill. North-East driving like NYC, Chicago, are all okay with me so I can learn better.
I appreciate any advice you seasoned drivers have for me, even if the advice is harsh. I prefer it straight. Thanks.I live near Minneapolis, MN in Hudson, WI. I’m 29 years old.
edit; post title should be “i’m getting’ my CDL-A”, google autocorrected me
