Starter is toast, 50 feet from a dry shop. All right, I’ve fished blindly hoping to get the socket on and have had no luck. I have a long enough extension, just can’t hit the bolt head. Computer is in the way and it feels like there are wires in the way trying to run down the engine side of the solenoid. Is there a trick to this, I’ve even run my inspection camera down and can’t see it.
question 2- local dealer had a new Delco Mt39 in stock for 300. They ran my vin and said this was the starter. There is a small device attached to the solenoid, I don’t think my starter has this. Wrong starter or just put it in and go. The device may hit the computer…..not sure. Going back out to fish for the top bolt some more.
