I’m doing some work to reconfigure my trailer dump valve.
Does anyone know if it is legal to use a ball valve as a dump valve? I know that for Airlines they want everything to say dot but I have not seen anything that says DOT approved ball valve.
I may just run a line from the cab to the trailer and configure the dump valve that way without any outside shut off valve.
Currently I have a quick connect Airline like you use in the garage for my air gauges for my trailer. I’m thinking they could give me a hard time about that?
Any idea what would be better to use for that connection? I suppose I could use a glad hand but it’s only a quarter inch line.
