Where else would you take a 34 when out of hours?
It isn’t about allowing or saving rent, it is hours of service rules.
If you run out of hours on your 70 hour clock you have to stop for 34 – unless you have recap hours coming in before that.
Best to plan such things so you don’t end up someplace you don’t want to be.
