In our case, we will find it… How much you wanna bet that a beverage company reported the termination to HireRight? You would show a couple of months unemployed after getting your CDL, they would run that DAC out of habit, and VOILA! Liar liar pants on fire! In the remote case they didn’t report it, you would be hired, only to be routed back to the terminal within a few days and unceremoniously terminated, yet again, only this time for falsifying the application *and* the crash. Another possibility is that it will show as a level 3 on your PSP with the at-fault accident… but that would only be if it was a recordable (towaway or worse).
Whether you list it or not, you have to meet the company’s underwriting policies. Not listing it, however, means there is a chance that you would have gotten an offer with it listed, but now you falsified the application as well. Lying by omission is the same as saying you worked for a company with no record of your existence.
Unless there is a gravel outfit nearby looking to hire a side or end dump operator, you’re probably not going to get another local job for a while. Suck it up, call the megas, and one of them will hire you. Probably a second-chance place like Western Express. Stick it out to get 2 years between the current date and your wreck, and you’ll be good to go, provided you didn’t hit anything else along the way.
