Step 1: chop up some onions and peppers and saute them in a pan

Step 2: transfer them to a bowl or plate (I like to save about 25% of it to add to my eggs)

Step 3: brown your ground beef. I keep it simple, only season it with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Step 4: drain the juices! This is important because if you don’t, then it’ll be too watery.

Step 5: add 1-2 cans of refried beans and diced tomatoes. This is why it’s important to drain the juices because these cans are a bit liquid-y.

Step 6: add your peppers & onions, let the beans cook for about 10 minutes.

Step 7: heat up some flour tortillas and add your favorite hot sauce or salsa.
