I know this doesn’t really help, but tough it out until 6 months exp or preferably a year and then find a carrier to stick it out for a while with.
It’s hit or miss at every company. Dispatchers, luck, weather, home obligations, etc. can make or break you. I’ve had great months at bottom feeder company and terrible months at higher tier carriers. I went through a job hopping stint and eventually realized it’s all the same s*** in a different pile.
During my job hopping stint, I probably lost more money during the switching phase and getting accustomed than I earned back with the higher pay. Just make a list of pros and cons, pick which cons you absolutely won’t put up with, and go from there. The grass will always be greener, but the longer vacation, better runs, and better equipment that comes with seniority is a nice benefit that I’ve missed out on everywhere.
