Hoping to find someone Familiar with the Paccar to advise me on this.
Truck won’t build air at idle, it will build air at 1100 rpm and above.
No air leaks anywhere; truck will sit for over an hour with brakes released and engine off and only lose 5 psi of air.
Governor is working correctly and the air dryer is functioning correctly and has a new cartridge.
I am assuming the problem is a sticking Unloader Valve in the compressor or just a worn out compressor, truck has 480,000 miles which seems too early for a compressor failure.
I am assuming the compressor unloader valve is internal on this compressor (Wabco 9125181030) as I cannot find one accessible from the outside, this issue has developed over the last couple weeks
It looks like I could remove the compressor head without pulling whole compressor, does anyone have any experience doing this and will removing the head give me access to the unloader valve?
