Every major truck manufacturer has class 8 trucks…peterbilt , kenworth, freightliner, mack, Volvo… Man and scania are working on prototypes over seas.. Volvo is leading the way by far… They have alot of trucks running around south central la and long beach ports, freightliner does as well with the eCascadia. Volvo has a plan that in 7 years , half of all their truck sales is going to be electric.. They claim 150-250 mile range which is perfect for local work right now… And the technology will only improve everyday from here on.
Byd has class 8 electric trucks you can buy right now on the market if you are so inclined..lion electric has class 6-8 vocational trucks for sale.. Nikola is getting ready for production next year. Has lots of prototypes on the road just like all the other manufactures. Theres a truck company with a yard near anahaim with a yard full of them last time i was over there sitting in traffic.. Nikola is already selling their batteries to other manufacturers..
Tesla is so far behind they have been kicked out of the ballgame, they are not even being talked about anymore.
