If your out of service for truck mechanical issues you cannot leave until someone comes out to fix the issue.
If your out of service for log book violation then you sit at the scale house for 10 hours and wait. If they have no parking there, the DOT officer tells you to drive to the nearest truck stop and wait.
If you drive off and don’t head to the nearest truck stop DONT GET CAUGHT because if they find out you are out of service you lose your CDL for a certain time period and get a huge fine.
