What does it take?
How do you not get this?
Screaming obvious is if the driver never leaves the travel lane all is well. DUH!!!!! If a driver never sneezes, if a driver never swerves to avoid a stalled car in the TRAVEL LANE, if a drivers never in fog, if, if if if if if if if if if. DUH!!
That’s not the frikkn point!
The point is we are in reality not some supertruckers alternative. Reality is there are teenagers, elderly, inexperienced, the temp blinded by early am or afternoon blinding sunlight, the medical issue temp distracted, the bright light blinded, etc… and fckng etc. .
Now, when a driver, tho of course not the supertruckers on this board, you know who you are, have an issue they hopefully simply drive on the rumble strips and correct their path thus saving themselves. Happens everyday. But, when another selfish, lazy, scumbag sprtrckr, having decided fck u and f your family, your teenage driver, “they should stay in lane”, decides I need to save 45 seconds on my time, I’ll just park on the shoulder, they never get the chance to correct and instead slam head 1st into the loaded trailer. 9 out of 10 are fatal. I’ve posted a few.
The latest fatals have all been parked within 5 miles of truckstops. The 55/80 crash was in front of 3 truckstops.
Should the #### driver stayed in the travel lane? Fckng DUHHHH, yes. That’s obvious!!!@@@
Thats the parking side of it. The other issue is the same idiots parking on the shoulders are, unfortunately, the same idiots jumping off said shoulders and into oncoming traffic also causing wrecks and fatalities. Again, F U and your family, I gotta go.
For what? To save 45 seconds of their special supertrucker clock? That’s the common sense side of things.
Now as for the legal issue. The legal system doesn’t give #### what supertruckers think. It only rewards payout.
So because the nitwitted, inexperienced are saying fck your family and any inattentive driving on their part, I’m parking on the shoulder cuz, cuz, well I gotta save myself 45 seconds. How many dead teenagers??
How many would have simply run thru the trees and survived, or hit the rumble strip and survived, but instead are dead from the totally unnecessary, and often times negligent homicidal shoulder parking? It’s totally unnecessary risk. Use a ramp, side street, anything is better than a shoulder. If your truck is broke down, put out the warnings. Get it moved. Years back, A hazmat load of chemical in Kentucky parked on the shoulder, driver went home for an overnight stay. Guess what happened.
There are endless stories of these mindless, preventable tragedies.
Don’t do it. It’s not complicated.
